Drawing class
Finding a few toy objects to live draw freehand. I found four objects and positioned in front of me on a table.
Choosing one drawing technique to draw these object, I had chosen thick and thin lines.
The aim to get the lines correctly is see where the light is shining from, which area cast most of the shadow and the dull area of the object itself.

7 Deadly Sins – PDI Photography
Lust, Envy, Greed, Wrath, Pride, Sloth and Gluttony, the 7 Deadly Sins.
Capturing images of myself to best describe these sins in my facial expressions and editing through Photoshop to aim for an surreal effect.
Using colours that best describe each Sin and effects such as a rough painting of brushstrokes scanned and merged into the image.
Also a typeface which also related best to the personality of each image and Sin.
This image has a great use of color, really stands out and appealing to the viewers. This again has a feel of fantasy as it is unrealistic though the color has been produced by colored lighting being placed under the fountain.
Theater Alive – Advanced Typography
I found this project very interesting as the first task was to create a fold up of an A3 paper which will be used for the fold out poster. We were to create a unique shape to the fold out of this design and was rather entertaining to figure out a fold out which worked best.
I chose to stick to using black, white and red for this design as the actual “theater alive” generally used these colors therefore to have the same feel throughout the company and its poster.
Godskitchen – Electronic Art
i had to create a poster design for a music event called “Godskitchen”. As the event is generally for a crowd of over 18 years of age and mainly a younger age group between 18 and 35, it is a rave event and goes on overnight, therefore i chose to give the poster a feel of what the scene is to be like. It is an overnight event with big names DJ’s, music and fluorescent lighting is exceptional, so i used what the theme of the event is “boom box tour” with a giant boom box at the top of the poster followed by fluorescence lighting
Angus & Robertson gift vouchers – Typography
I had to create gift vouchers for a book store. As the gift vouchers are generally given for a younger crowd or let alone given as a “gift”, i chose bright inviting and cheerful colors to make it stand out and also to create a fun and joyful feel, each voucher having its own different color according to how much the voucher is worth.
i chose a small imagery to be placed on the gift vouchers of an apple and a book worm. This is a good combination because the image is cute and simple and relates to a book store.
Photo montage – PDI
I have always been inspired by fantasy related imagery therefore chose to create my photo montage of a fantasy theme.
going around the city finding relevant scenes to incorporate into my montage and interesting sculptures, i managed to create a city and sea life type of fantasy. I discovered that fantasy is generally created by colors which don’t generally appear in the sky or sea such as a pink purple or and orange yellow to an aqua, and generally not so bright. the aim is to create and unrealistic feel though really draws the viewer into the image.
Jet Sneaker campaign – design Business
For a recent project I had to produce a sneaker advertisement campaign. My concept had a theme of comfort, fashion and performance. I had to make up 3 designs for the campaign where i chose to use illustration to produce my work as i found it relevant to my theme and skills and i was able to express my ideas. Therefore i chose to use each theme separately on each campaign. I chose to have the sneaker as a focus point in the center which made it clear that the advertisement was of a sneaker.
i used a person for each campaign to represent each of these themes, which i chose to reduce the size of the people incredibly.
this image caught my attention of its color co-ordination of its exotic usage of fruits. it really stands out against the black background. Each glass has got its own tone and texture and shades of color. The fruits having its own detail makes each drink appear of with a lot of detail put into it though it is a natural effect, makes you just want to have one.
Inspiration – Photography
I chose this imagery that i found as it captured my interest, the warm soothing autumn feeling of the yellow, orange and brown colors in very inviting. i like the one point perspective as it gives it a unique interesting affect, creating the mind to wonder where this road may lead to. Its still surround makes you feel almost into the image but also gives a feel of fantasy.
